The science is clear, as a global society, we must act together to reduce greenhouse gas concentration in two ways: halting emissions and removing excess CO2 from the atmosphere. At Accend, we are committed to helping businesses reach Net Zero by scaling carbon removal technologies such as biochar and enhanced rock weathering. We combine technical and financial advisory services to enable the growth of carbon removal projects. Our ambition is that by 2030, 10 of the most important companies in the world will use our services on their journey to Net Zero. Two of them already do.

Now we are looking to expand the team to help us grow. We look for individuals who share our passion for climate, who learn quickly and who take pride in getting the job done. To support our growing community of carbon removal projects, we are hiring:

Business Development Director

What you will do

• Build trusted relationships with carbon project owners.
• Support, advise and enable projects to gain carbon finance.
• Manage the production of project data, life cycle analyses and documentation.
• Manage ongoing monitoring and reporting for projects.
• Contribute to expanding our shared knowledge base of carbon removal methods.

You need to bring

Experience from business, environment or technology. Preferably combined, one way or another. Or something else, we are not that concerned about your degree. What will give you success is your genuine curiosity, your ability to identify sustainable business opportunities, and your interpersonal  skills.

Establish trust based on knowledge. You influence the decisions of higher-level management by providing direction. You initiate and follow up customer dialogues to ensure progress. You learn quickly and solve challenges.

Accend is a Norwegian company with global reach. You are more than welcome to join in Norway, but that's not a requirement at all. Being within reach of our clients is actually better. Being based in Germany, Benelux or UK would be convenient. We will sort out the details.
